UO freshman passes away on Saturday
She was found in her dorm
On Saturday evening an 18-year-old freshman was found deceased in her dorm room. She lived in the Spiller wing of Hamilton.
The cause of death has been undetermined so far by the Lane County Medical Examiner. The process is still underway by UOPD.
Anna Schmidt, the Director of Residence Life told Hamilton residents: “This loss will be felt by us all. During this difficult time, I want each of you within Spiller Hall to know that I and many others within our community care about you. Take good care of yourselves and each other.”
More to follow upon the results of the investigation.
