Oregon football player dismissed from team following arrest

He was arrested Saturday night

Oregon football’s Austin Maloata has been dismissed from the team following his arrests for DUI,  methamphetamine possession and reckless driving.

According to the Daily Emerald, “Maloata was driving at 1:48am when he ran a red light at the intersection of East Broadway and Hilyard Street and collided with another vehicle.”

The Emerald also reported that the defensive lineman was released from the Lane County Jail at 10:51am, in what the county jail described as a “capacity-based release.”

He’s set to appear in court on November 20 at 8:30am.
