A ferocious storm is on its way to Oregon

Winds are expected to pick up to 65 mph

Remnants of a typhoon are currently making its way to Eugene.

According to the National Weather Service in Portland,  Eugene and Springfield areas are expected to see extra heavy rain starting on Thursday night accompanied by enormous wind gusts.

According to the Register Guard, the conditions are expected to last through Friday before an even larger storm is set to arrive on Saturday.

It’s said to be remnants of a typhoon, and has coastal communities watching out for 65 mph winds and wind warnings will be in effect from 2 p.m. to midnight on Thursday.

Even though its trek is uncertain, residents have been warned that there may be power outages due to dead branches on power lines.
