Ohio State USG stands in solidarity against racism in Charlottesville

Over 50 student leaders spoke out

Student leaders from colleges across the country joined together to issue a statement denouncing the events in Charlottesville, Virginia over the weekend. Among those students were members of the Ohio State Undergraduate Student Government.

Ohio State Student Body President Andrew Jackson shared the statement on Twitter.

"This is a statement to not only support the Student Body at the University of Virginia but to make clear our advocacy for the victimized and marginalized students on all our campuses," the statement read.

The statement was a collaborative effort by student governments to offer support to the University of Virginia. It also serves as an announcement to each student body that violence and hate will not be tolerated on their campuses.
