Zeke should have won AP Offensive Rookie of the Year

The rookie from Ohio State absolutely dominated this season

A few weeks ago former Buckeyes Ezekiel Elliot and Joey Bosa won the PFWA Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year, respectively. On the season Zeke led the NFL in rushing with 1631 yards and 15 touchdowns along with 363 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown. Meanwhile Bosa had 10.5 sacks which led all rookies. Both clearly deserved to win.

It would be safe to assume that both players would be locks to take home AP NFL Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year as well, except that was not the case. Zeke lost this prestigious honor in favor of his quarterback, Dak Prescott.

Meanwhile Bosa still managed to take home the award.

Not only did the 6th Annual NFL Honors rob Zeke of an award, they completely disrespected him by giving it to the man who Zeke carried the entire season.

Zeke led the NFL in rushing and was first team All Pro, meanwhile Dak did not come close to leading the NFL in passing and did not make an All Pro team. Furthermore, there is still debate on whether the Cowboys will stick with Romo over Dak.

Zeke is without a doubt a better player than Dak, just look at their stats, skill set and draft positions. This year the NFL Honors proved to be another popularity contest just like the Pro Bowl.

At least the NFL got something right by naming Elliot FedEx Ground Player of the Year.
