Armed robbery reported near south campus last night

A Buckeye Alert was issued by The Ohio State University last night at 9:51pm in response to an armed robbery.

The robbery occurred near Highland Street and West 8th Avenue, a few blocks south of the Ohio State campus.

The suspect is described as a male, black, between 6’0″ and 6’3″ tall. He was wearing dark pants with a shirt over his face. He was last seen heading north towards campus, and had a gun on him during the robbery.

Police responded by putting extra patrols in the area of the robbery.

The Columbus Police are currently investigating.
