BREAKING: OSU Coalition for Black Liberation marches for Tyre King

They held the line on High Street for at least 13 minutes

At around 5:30pm a group of protesters as part of the OSU Coalition for Black Liberation was seen marching from the Oval towards High Street.

They then lined up on 15th and High blocking all traffic.

They were chanting “No justice, no peace, no racist police.”

There is also a sit-down protest currently going on in the Student Union of The Ohio State University.

The group started marching on the Oval and continued south towards High Street.

The event is being held in response to the death of  13-year-old Tyre King.

Bike cops have been seen in the area.

Police officers are blocking the intersection of High and Lane.

The event description called for members of the community to stand up for the Black lives lost.

“Ferguson stood up.
Baltimore stood up.
Chicago stood up.
Baton Rouge stood up.
Milwaukee stood up.
Charlotte stood up.
It’s time for Columbus to STAND UP.”

There is also a rally currently going on in front of Columbus City Hall. They have shut down a council meeting that was taking place.
