If Big 10 schools were Disney princesses

This conference is the most royal of them all

The Big 10 is a prestigious conference all around from academics, to athletics, to even partying this conference has it all. In fact one could even say this conference is the most royal of them all (sorry SEC). After taking everything into account this is who each school would be if they were a Disney Princess.

Indiana University: Cinderella

Indiana has been notorious for making incredible runs during March Madness and have been deemed a Cinderella many times in the NCAA tournament. Although sometimes overshadowed by  other Big 10 schools Indiana is a hidden gem in the conference. They truly are the Cinderella of the Big 10.

University of Maryland: Pocahontas

Pocahontas takes place in Jamestown, Virginia and it so happens to be that the University of Maryland is geographically the closest to where the film took place. Maryland is new to the Big 10 even though they have thrived in the ACC. After joining the Big 10 and playing all these new teams Maryland must have felt the same way as Pocahontas after she encountered the English settlers for the first time.

University of Michigan: Princess Aurora

Sleeping Beauty came out in 1959, since then Michigan has won 1 national championship in football. Sleeping Beauty perfectly describes the Michigan football team. Although the program is iconic just like the film, the team has basically been in a long slumber just like Princess Aurora.

Michigan State University: Ariel

Ariel is one of the most beloved princesses Disney has ever created, just like Michigan State is one of the most successful athletic programs in the conference. If that is not convincing enough then just look at all the green Ariel is always wearing. She would make a perfect Spartan.

Ohio State University: Belle

Ohio State excels at nearly every sport and is one of the most recognizable schools from the Big 10. From Winning the 2015 National Championship in football and dominating in wrestling (thanks to Kyle Snyder) Ohio State truly is the “beauty” of the conference.

Pennsylvania State University: Mulan

Under Joe Paterno, Penn State was basically Mulan when everyone thought she was a dude. Penn State was a national powerhouse and one of the best teams in the Big 10. After Joe Paterno left it was like Shang finally realizing Mulan was a woman and not the great warrior he thought she was.

Rutgers University: Elena

Rutgers is new to the conference and unproven. Both have to work hard to prove that they are worthy to be a member of the Big 10 as well as a Disney Princess. In the meantime sit back and enjoy Elena of Avalor this fall.

University of Illinois: Merida

Merida has orange hair just like the primary color of the university. Furthermore Merida was a great warrior in Brave which fits into the sprirt of the Fighting Illini perfectly.

University of Iowa: Snow White

Iowa has been ranked one of top party schools in the conference for some time. Girls at frat parties at Iowa parties must feel the same way Snow White felt when she was constantly being followed by the Seven Dwarfs since there are so many frat guys at this school.

University of Minnesota: Elsa

There is a reason why Lil Yachty claims Minnesota is so cold. It is fitting that one of the coldest places in the Big 10 should be Elsa from Frozen. Elsa is the perfect fit for the University of Minnesota since she can make it snow upon command in Frozen.

University of Nebraska: Tiana

Nebraska probably thought they would never leave the Big 12 just like Tiana thought she would never kiss a frog. At the end of the day both of those things happened making Tiana the perfect fit for Nebraska.

Northwestern University: Jasmine

There is no denying that Northwestern is academically one of the best schools in the Big 10 so it is only fitting that they receive an elegant princess like Jasmine. Jasmine has a pet tiger named Rajah which is basically the same thing as a Wildcat.

Purdue University: Rapunzel

There really is not much to do at Purdue other than lock yourself in your room and study since the athletic teams are not the best. Rapunzel would thrive at Purdue if she was able to live in the Purdue Bell Tower.

University of Wisconsin: Anna

Wisconsin and Minnesota are basically sisters since they are located right next to each other. Furthermore, they have a sibling like rivalry like that of Anna and Elsa in Frozen.
