Suspect of two OSU campus robberies arrested

The arrest happened after two incidents on Saturday night

Columbus Police have arrested 29-year-old Terry Powell on two counts of aggravated robbery which occurred on The Ohio State University campus.

Powell held the victims at gunpoint on two separate robberies on September 3rd between 11:30pm and 12am.

The first incident involved Powell demanding the purse and cell phone of a female walking along Waldeck Avenue and holding her at gunpoint.

Police made the arrest after responding to the first incident and then observing the second where three female college students were held at gunpoint. Powell was arrested after a foot chase that ended near Indianola Avenue.

In both incidents, the suspect demanded the victims cell phones and held them at gunpoint. The second incident involved a victim being struck with the gun Powell had on him.

There is no information about this arrest having relation to other robberies that have been occurring in the campus area.
