Two OSU students robbed at gunpoint last night

They had their cell phones and wallets stolen

Two OSU students were robbed at gunpoint on separate occasions last night.

The first robbery occurred at 10.30pm Friday night at E. Northwood Ave. and Tuller St.

The victim told Columbus Police that he was robbed by four individuals and then struck on the head by a gun.

The suspects stole the student’s cell phone and the contents of his pockets. The suspects then fled the scene on foot. The student described the four suspects as black males in their late teens to early 20s.

The second robbery occurred just after midnight on Saturday morning at E. 15th Ave. and N. 4th St.

An Ohio State student was approached by three males and robbed of his backpack and the contents of his pockets. The suspects displayed a handgun, punched the student in the face, and then proceeded to flee the scene on foot.

The victim described the three suspects as two black males and the third as Hispanic, all in their late teens to early 20s.

It is unclear at this time whether the crimes are related.
