OSU alerts students about robbery at Bowen House, a day later

The altercation occurred on Tuesday night at 11:53 p.m. on the west side of Bowen House

Late on Tuesday night, a male student reported he was approached by four black males upon returning to his residence hall. One of the suspects had asked to borrow his phone, when moments later the student was punched in the face and knocked to the ground.

According to the report, the suspects ran off with the now stolen phone, crossed Lane Avenue and continued north down High Street. Later on, nearby witnesses said they had seen the four suspects inside Bowen House shortly before the robbery. After they had been let in by bystanders, the four male suspects had been asked to leave.

While these campus crimes are all terrible, it seems that as of late, more and ore of them are occurring at or near residence halls, which is highly concerning.

After hearing about the robbery, OSU students were concerned that they did not receive any immediate alert about the latest crime and that they received an email on Wednesday afternoon, the day after the incident.
