Toos announce new bar after April Fools’ joke

What started out as a prank may be the dreams of Ohio State kids coming true

The Twitter account of the bar Toos Under High has announced plans for a new bar called Threes Above High after making an April Fools’ joke about taking over the basement of Oldfields.

My good buddy Dan @OldfieldsOSU and I have agreed to change Oldfields into the new Toos at the end of the school year! #toosoldlove

The new bar will attempt to recreate the atmosphere of Toos, except this time above High Street. Toos has been looking for a new place for quite some time, and it seems they are close to finalizing a spot for Threes.

Can't believe it was a year ago these crazy kids repped their #savetoos shirts in the front row of a nationally televised game. Also can't believe we are still in our same location after being told we'd be out in September 2015, then December 2015…We're now hearing June 2016 and would gladly love for them to keep lying to us and push us back another 6 months…But that's wishful thinking. Toos finale day is June 16 and to commemorate the occasion, they’ll be open from 5am to 3am. Looks like students will have 22 hours of drinking at Toos in order to celebrate the bars last day. Maybe Threes can open up with 33 hours of drinking?

Although Toosdays will never be the same and I am not sure how students can make Threesdays work, but we can only hope that Threes will be just as awesome as Toos.

Ohio State
