The ultimate Scott dining hall hacks
Your tastebuds will thank you
As we approach the halfway mark of the semester, it may be hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Classes seem to go on forever, warm weather is no where in sight, and, worst of all, you’re getting sick of the dining hall food.
Fear not, on-campus students (or students who mooch of a younger sibling or friend for a swipe), because there are quite a few ways to enhance your dining hall experience, all while still using the foods provided for you.
Breakfast sandwich
Making your own breakfast sandwich is easy. Just head on over to the breakfast station and collect the following:
- English muffin or bagel (toasted)
- Bacon or sausage
- Egg
- Cheese
If you feel like taking your breakfast sandwich game up a notch, you could try making a McGriddle
You will need:
- 2 pancakes
- Sausage
- Egg
- Maple syrup to drizzle
Bonus Tip: The grilled cheese station will make breakfast sandwiches for you before 10am, if you don’t feel like making one yourself.
Not in the mood for a sandwich? Trying making a Breakfast Taco
First, head upstairs to the Latin Station for tortillas, salsa, and Jalapeños. Then, head downstairs to get your breakfast essentials of eggs, sausage, bacon, and cheese.
If you’re looking for something with a little kick to it, try a Buffalo Chicken Wrap
Head to the Latin Station for tortillas, lettuce, and cheese. Once you have your chicken of choice and some Buffalo sauce, you’re good to go.
Comfort food takes on a whole new form with a bowl of Fettuccine Alfredo
Start by making a bowl of pasta at the Solutions Station. Pick your favorite type of noodle and add spinach and Alfredo sauce. Once you add your chicken of choice and broccoli, it’s a match made in heaven.
The perfect way to end a good meal with friends is by sharing a Waffle Sundae
Once you get a waffle from behind the Omelette Station, the rest is up to you. Add as much ice cream, candy, and chocolate sauce as you and your friends would like.
Don’t be afraid to mix and match your dining hall favorites or to try new things. In the end, your tastebuds will thank you.
