Bell’s Pizza to be replaced by Domino’s

Rest in pizza

The beloved Bell’s Pizza on the corner of Packard and State has permanently closed its doors. It will be remodeled and replaced with a Dominos. Though this may be no big deal to the North campus students, this will be the only dominos on central campus.

For many, Bell’s Pizza was only a crusty, late-night option that they fell back on if they ever wanted a slice. For some, however, it was a place filled with nostalgia, a place parents had known and loved and a place offering some of the best calzones in the Ann Arbor area. A big chain like Dominos won’t have the charming, poorly-ran website that accidentally delivers pizza at 11am instead of 11pm. The walls of Dominos will probably be painted some basic off-white instead of the wild designs covered with sports posters inside Bell’s. It’s unlikely that their workers will bully you into tipping them like Bell’s did. And you know what? It’s a damn shame. Bell’s, you will be missed, rest in pizza heaven.
