People are claiming South Quad gave a bunch of people food poisoning
They are blaming undercooked chicken for some reason
Multiple people have reportedly gotten sick since Monday’s dinner at South Quad, with students complaining of flu-like symptoms including nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea (gross).
Students speculate their illnesses may have come from undercooked chicken, while others have wondered if another bout of Norovirus has popped up on campus.
The virus has apparently spread throughout the university, with reports of illnesses coming in from multiple different Michigan dorms. The university is investigating the situation and a statement from the Public Affairs Office is due later today.
They may be sick, but at least Squad residents are keeping up a sense of humor. One student wrote on Yik Yak, “Just threw up twice randomly. Thought I was pregnant but then realized I’m a guy.”
