Man hit by car outside Newmans

Emergency services are on the scene

Ambulances have rushed to the scene where a student was hit by a car while on a moped.

The accident took place outside PappaJohn and the Newman Centre.

Freshman Aimee Frederickson was on the scene.

The English and Art major said: “When I saw him there was minimal blood but he looked unresponsive”.

Lexe Nilles, a freshman studying English and Psychology, spoke to eyewitnesses. She said:

“Apparently there’s broken glass too, pretty sure they said a window busted”.

Another eyewitness said: “I just walked past and saw a herd of people and all the cars were stopped around this one car and people were pulling the moped out from under the car and the guy was wailing out loud”.

Our thoughts and prayers are with him, hopefully the accident wasn’t as severe as it looked.

More details to follow.
