After a week of studying, downtown Iowa City smells like freedom. As the evening progresses this smell is adulterated and ends up smelling like… not freedom.
A holistic blend of people graces the eyes: freshman with partially faded x’s scrubbed from their hands, fraternity brothers with matching boat shoes, people not adequately dressed for the weather, fraternity brothers with matching hockey jerseys, veteran bar goers with multiple wristbands, and fraternity brothers with matching backward hats.
