Free burritos for all because every Chipotle in the US is shut

Every Chipotle in the country is closed between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in order to implement a new food safety program – but they’re giving you a free one to make up for it.
Due to the inconvenience Chipotle is giving it’s customers free burritos for today only until 6 p.m. if they text RAINCHECK to 888222.

Though you may not want to – we’ll need to dig a bit deeper into why the restaurant is closed during those peak hours.
Chipotle has run into a little snafu with e. coli breaking out into some stores. While some people were okay with the risk Chipotle found it better to just heighten all sanitary procedures including:
- preparing veggies and such in central kitchens
- marinating cilantro in citrus for extra protection, and a zesty flavor
- food tracking system to keep track of all food coming in and out of restaurants
- adding regular inspection to make sure facilities are at top shape.
These steps will help all of us have a better experience at Chipotle with no fear of illness, something we all can be happy about.
