Braving the cold and first days of class fashion

It is possible to dress warm and still look hot

Braving the Bloomington crisp winter air, walking around campus while being bundled up, yet still pulling off fashion trends is no challenge for Indiana University students. Even with the cold winter temperatures upon us, IU students keep up with this winter’s fashion trends.

Where do you get your fashion inspiration from?

Magazines and celebrities; I like Kendall Jenner’s style a lot.

What are your favorite winter go-to and staple items in your closet?

The boots I am wearing. They’re from Urban Outfitters but I don’t know the brand.

My necklace, it goes with everything!

Leggings because they are comfortable.

Burberry winter gear like scarves and coats.

My undershirt from Banana Republic, my cousin got it for me for Christmas.

Where do you get your fashion inspiration from?

Mainly from people on campus. I just pick up trends based on what other people are wearing.

What is your favorite part of this outfit?

These jeans. They are from my boyfriend’s sister. They fit me really well and are very comfortable!

What is your favorite winter trend this season?

Chelsea boots. They are false leather boots with a pointed toe and low heel. They look very professional, and are very versatile and waterproof.

Where do you get your fashion inspiration from?

I love the style of Free People, Urban Outfitters, and Madewell. I love the way they put together different components to fashion while keeping it original, but staying up to date with trends.

What are your favorite winter go- to and staple items in your closet?

Oversized sweaters and scarves.

My blanket scarf because it’s cute and I still stay warm without looking like a bum.
