Swastikas found drawn on the walls of Lincoln Hall, Greg Hall, and the Armory

Campus police are appealing for information

This morning, May 29th, at 9:02 a.m., a mass email was sent to students and faculty about the discovery of swastikas drawn on the walls of two lecture halls and the Armory building.

The email that was sent to students and faculty.

The swastikas were removed within an hour of discovery and the vandalism is thought to have occurred between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. in Lincoln Hall, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. in the Armory, and between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 in Greg Hall.

The email says this follows a recent incident where a former employee left a noose on a work table. This act of graffiti is one of many offensive and threatening events that have occurred during the 2015-2016 school year.

The Interim Chancellor, Barbara Wilson, assured that these acts will not be tolerated and that those responsible will face punishment. The email said: “We condemn acts like this that are intended to intimidate particular groups”.  Campus police requested that anyone with information on who could have committed this act contact them at 333-1216.
