We’re set to earn over $61,400 straight out of college

Set for life, but we already knew that

We can expect to walk away from our four years in Cambridge with a job that pays around $61,400 – nearly double the $34,343 national average.

New data released by college researchers at Payscale puts us among the top five universities in the States for starting graduate salary.

This does put us 43 places ahead of Yale – but we still rank joint with the United States Naval Academy and behind Harvey Mudd and SUNY-Maritime College above us. Surely they don’t really count anyway.

Wisdom that we are better than everyone else

Check out how we compare against other Tab colleges.

Then our mid-career salary, judged on what we’re likely to earn after 10 years, doubles to $126,000.

MIT (three places below us) and our entrepreneurial friends at Babson (six places below us) are the only other Boston colleges in the top ten.

Neighbors BC (43rd), BU (128th) and Northeastern (148th) not even coming close.

Next time you’re pulling an all-nighter in Lamont and asking yourself whether this is all worth it, remember you’ll be living the good life soon enough so answer yourself with a resounding yes.
