Things FSU students are tired of hearing
We know there’s no parking on campus
Being an FSU student is probably one of the best things ever. There’s no other school I’d rather be a student at or walk around campus at every day. I love telling people I’m a Nole, but with being one comes a lot of things people say that get very tiring. The amount of times we FSU students hear these words said is just sad, and we would be okay if we never heard them again.
“Go Gators!”
I swear every time I wear an FSU shirt or I tell someone I attend Florida State, Gator fans reply with “Go Gators!” I usually like to respond to them with “wait, who are the Gators?” They don’t like that very much, and I’m sure it’s on their list of things they are tired of hearing. They also thought they could copy our “too sexy to be a Gator” shirt, nice try UF.
“Did you steal the crab legs?”
Somebody signed my high school yearbook “try not to steal some crab legs while you’re at Florida State!” Really, is it necessary to keep bringing this up? I thought this saying would die out over the years but it still manages to come around. We all know the story of Winston at Publix and the crab legs, let’s all move on with our lives now.
“You’re a second half team”
While this may be true, we can’t deny the facts, we don’t need a reminder 24/7. We all know how our team plays and we’re always prepared for the game to actually start after halftime, so you don’t need to tell us multiple times. We’ll still probably beat your team regardless.
“You go to FSU because couldn’t get into UF”
This is just a ridiculous statement. This may be true for some Noles, but most of us are here not because we couldn’t get into UF, but because we didn’t want to go to UF. There’s honestly no place better than Florida State. Sorry not sorry.
“There’s no parking on your campus”
This is the ultimate “we know”. If we had a dollar for every time we heard someone say there’s no parking, we would have enough money to fix the problem. Then, once the problem was fixed and more parking was added, we wouldn’t have to hear this annoying statement anymore and life would be good.
