Latest projections show Hillary is set to win in Florida

The Democratic candidate is the favorable winner of the Sunshine State

From the initial presumption that the “Trump train” was an unstoppable object, Hillary Clinton’s campaign seems to be that immovable counterpart. Recent polls conducted by the New York Times report that Hillary Clinton will not only win Florida, but will win the state with quite the majority.

The study done by The Upshot, a section within the Times, uses data collected by various organizations on both candidates. It then compares the data to previous election year cycles and the collective results of them.

The recent poll shows that Florida tends to vote 77% Democratic and only 23% Republican, whereas places like Oklahoma and Idaho lean heavily Republican with a reported 98%.

The overall poll data from the NY Times shows that Hillary Clinton, as of August 30th, has a whopping 88% chance of winning. Donald Trump has only a minimal 12% chance at winning the Oval Office.

If that wasn’t enough, another election forecast site FiveThirtyEight shows the Democratic nominee winning the 29 electoral votes Florida has to offer with a slightly smaller margin of 69.8% as opposed to Trump’s 30.2%.

If the statistical data holds until the primaries, America might very well be preparing itself for its first female president.
