FSU is one of the most sleep deprived schools in America

I’m sleepy yo

With finals at FSU fast approaching, students are staring into their own dead eyes and thinking a lot about sleep.

Studies show Noles only get an average of 7.13 hours of sleep every night, making us the 120th most sleep-deprived school in the United States. This same study says the average student goes to bed at 1AM on weekdays and 1:30AM on weeknights, which makes a lot of sense considering the nightly party scene.

Although we go out almost every night, the average wake-up time on the weekdays is 8:50AM (which is plenty of time to scramble to your 9AM) and 9:30AM on the weekends. I don’t know about you, but my Saturday mornings are definitely reservedĀ for sleeping in.

Florida State students might not be the most sleep-deprived students in the US but we deserve a lot of credit for balancing our studies, sleep schedules, and social lives.
