Coach Jimbo was involved in a car accident before Saturday’s scrimmage

He did not tell his team about the crash prior to them playing

Florida State Seminoles football coach Jimbo Fisher was involved in a car accident on Saturday April, 2nd 2016.

Tallahassee Police have reported Fishers 2015 Mercedes Benz S550 collided with another vehicle at an intersection near Doak Campbell Stadium Saturday morning. It was reported Fishers vehicle “bounced” off the other car and crashed into a pole.

Coach Fisher did not report any serious injuries to emergency personnel who arrived on scene. The other driver however was taken to the hospital after complaints of pain in the neck, shoulder, hip and back area. One of the two passengers in the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital with complaints of neck, head, and back pain.

The Tab asked FSU freshman and defensive end Claudio Williams how he felt about this situation. Baffled, Williams did not know the accident had taken place before the football team’s Saturday scrimmage.

He told The Tab: “Oh man for real? Well you can’t take the people you have in life for granted. Thank God he is alright.”

Police have stated they were unable to determine who was initially at fault for the collision. According to police, the conditions of the road were wet and could have contributed to the accident. There seems to be no evidence of any foul play or influence.
