The #24 Gators face the #23 Vols tomorrow

#WearBlue

The Gators face rival Tennessee tomorrow in the first home game of the season.

That's right, it's officially time to open up The Swamp.

Here's what to look for during the game so you can impress your friends and yell at the appropriate times.

The QB situation

Coach Mac announced Feleipe Franks as the 2017 season starter before the Michigan game, but then swapped Franks out for Malik Zaire during the game. This could still be anyone's position, and the confidence and accuracy of our quarterback could determine the whole offensive rhythm. Many have called for OC Doug Nussmeier to be fired, so it'll be interesting to see if the offense can really get it together after having a week off.

Missing Starters

Nine Gator players, including star WR Antonio Callaway and RB Jordan Scarlett, are still suspended from play with no word on when they will be eligible to return. Not many details have surfaced from the investigation, but officials cited their reason for suspension a misuse of school funds. It's tough to think that the Gators could have pulled it out in the Michigan game had everyone been playing, and no Gator fans want that vs. the dreaded Vols.

The wrath of Irma

Due to Hurricane Irma's landfall in Florida, many players could be participating in the game with their minds very much somewhere else. Not to mention, UF canceled the game vs. Northern Colorado that would have been a guaranteed win for this season. With this one win missing and a difficult schedule coming up, winning over Tennessee is almost a must.

Tennessee's momentum

It's still hard to tell how Tennessee's team will turn out since they are always so hyped up in the off-season. They consistently recruit well, and are picked by many to win the SEC East every year. However, they barely beat unranked Georgia Tech in overtime in Week 1. With a major home advantage, let's hope enough Rowdy Reptiles yell "Blue!" to throw them off.
