If the characters from High School Musical went to UF
What would have happened if they had all chosen to wear orange and blue?
There’s no secret you were secretly fan-girling over the announcement of High School Musical 4. While the new Disney Channel has opened casting for a new set of high-schoolers, we can’t help but wonder what everyone’s favorite DCOM would have been like if these Wildcats had become Gators.
Troy Bolton
Major: Telecommunication News Reporting
Clubs: Theatre Strike Force, Beta Theta Pi
In HSM 3, Troy decided on the University of California, Berkeley to focus on his love of basketball and theater, but UF is definitely a better fit for the star of the series. Too busy trying to balance his frat and academics, Troy decided to stick with intramural basketball. And we all know he couldn’t *break free* from his high school sweetheart, so Gabriella was his date for every Beta formal.
Gabriella Montez
Major: Political Science, Pre-Law
Clubs: Criminology and Law Honor Society, Alpha Delta Pi
While Gabriella originally decided on Stanford to study law, we think she would do even better here. She would be heading the campaign of local candidates and hold a spot in the prestigious Florida Blue Key, preparing her for UF’s Levin College of Law.
Sharpay Evans
Major: Musical Theatre
Clubs: Florida Players, Delta Gamma
Sharpay thought the best place for her would be the University of Albuquerque, but the actual place to prepare for Broadway is UF’s College of the Arts. The Swamp is perfect to hone her craft by starring in one of their many productions. Her dog, Boi, would become the official mascot of the DG house.
Ryan Evans
Major: Dance with a vocal minor
Clubs: Floridance, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia
Ryan could not handle being away from his beloved sister. Where would he be without Sharpay casting a shadow over him? At UF, this amazing duo can continue to take the performance world by storm!
Chad Danforth
Major: Sports Management
Clubs: UF Basketball, Pi Kappa Alpha
Like Sharpay, Chad thought his future was at the University of Albuquerque. However, with his athletic skills, we don’t have the slightest doubt that he would have been recruited by the UF basketball team. The College of Health and Human Performance would help him to *keep his head in the game*.
Taylor McKessie
Major: Political Science with a chemistry minor
Clubs: UF Mock Trial Team, Student Government
As Student Body President, Taylor would be on the right track to enter the White House. You would find her at Lib West with Gabriella cramming for their Comparative Politics exam. #McKessie2016
Disney, we we know it may be wishful thinking, but we want to see the Wildcats doing the Chomp!
