Suck it, GTech: Emory is the best college in Georgia

First: Georgia. Next: the WORLD

Forbes magazine has ranked the best colleges in every state, and it looks like Emory has made the grade for the best college in Georgia.

This, of course, is referring to the Atlanta campus, even though the Oxford campus allegedly has a dining hall within arms length of the dorms (and I’m totally not jealous).

The ranking took into account our grants for freshmen (“averaging $28,400”), our general education requirements (which are apparently spectacular, but I was too busy sleeping in Bio lab to notice), and our exchange program with the University of St. Andrews, Scotland (though we sadly couldn’t convince Prince William to make his way over here during his college days there).

Emory’s Forbes profile also ranks us #79 overall and #10 in the South.

This probably means that we’ll have to beat out Duke in the future if we want that top Southern spot, but we’re soft Atlanta city folk who don’t know what kind of training they’ve been up to in those North Carolina mountains.
