Winter is coming: It’s SNOWING

Did you see it?

With the foliage in full swing up in Hanover, I thought it would be a great day to go up to the Gile Fire Tower to catch some of the over-Instagrammed views.

I definitely was not expecting it to snow. But that’s exactly what happened.

At first it was just a few flurries, and I wasn’t even entirely sure it was snowing. But, as soon as I got to the stairs to go up the tower, the wind picked up and there was no debate anymore.

It was clearly snowing. A lot. After just a couple of minutes I couldn’t feel my fingers and had snow sicking to my clothes.

I obviously didn’t see the same foliage views that everyone has been posting lately given the wind and snow picked up so much that it was a cloud of white outside of the trees immediately in front of me.

It was quite a sight to see once the wind slowed down and you could see the foliage with the snow starting to stick to the trees.

You’d think living in New Hampshire we wouldn’t be surprised by the first sight of snow but it’s only October 17th. It’s not even Halloween.

Winter is coming.
