The best and worst of Columbia on Yelp and TripAdvisor
‘I was forced to stay in this hideous cramped little campus with horrible unethical people’
Wall Street Journal says we’re #3 in the US but online reviewers brooding over how to get a free meal from JJs or a tuition refund is where the real fun is.
We decided to delve deep into the love and malice (sometimes both simultaneously) expressed about our very own Columbia.
TripAdvisor was overflowing with reviews titled “Beautiful campus” and scored a mighty #67 out of 1,042 things to do in New York, a figure ironically similar the same upper percentile as our acceptance rate.
Yelp gave us a 4.5, which we’d all be happy about if this judgement was our GPA.
Here are some of the best and worst reviews from Yelp and TripAdvisor.
We’re equally happy he decided not to come.
Though, maybe our school pride is spread a little thick
But it’s not just the students who are impressed
Others, not so impressed
Some are mad about how much tuition goes to landscaping
While others we assume their last initial stands for Sheen and are on a drug induced Yelp rant
There’s always that guy who hopes for a refund if he complains enough on Yelp
And those that can’t handle city life
The award for most accurate review is a mix of all of these
Only a tried and true Columbia student would give 5 stars for a “life-changing” education while casually mentioning suicide, brings up being robbed and indirectly says you may be murdered.
