Who’s ready to tailgate?

President Brown announced that BU will get back its football program for the 2018 to 2019 academic year. The team will hold its first game at Gillette Stadium against Boston College’s football team next fall. All games after will be held at the Harvard Athletic Complex nearby in Allston. BU is already in search of a new coach and is attempting to put together a team. BU’s football program was cut in 1997 due to “changing financial needs of the university” and a larger female population at the school. Title IX was a major factor in the decision, because the university did not want to spend money on creating a women’s football team. Now that BU has realized girls can like football and play football, too, they decided to bring back the program. Let’s get out there and play some football! Check the date.
