BU is the best university in Boston, in Massachusetts, and probably the world
We’re all really good looking
The colleges in the Boston area definitely have some serious rivalry.
And I’m not even talking about the BU vs. BC rivalry, because BC isn’t in Boston.
Any minute you’re on Twitter, Yik Yak or Facebook, you’re bound to see some beef between the colleges. And BU is often on the receiving end of that beef.
It doesn’t stop there. Colleges around the country like to think they’re better than BU, but they’re wrong.
Like, sooooo wrong. Here’s why.
Location
BU is literally IN the city.
Our campus is sprinkled around actual, real life city buildings while still being unified enough to feel like home.
Other campuses around Boston and the rest of the planet don’t pull this off the way we do.
BU makes you feel like you’re a real adult, without having to be one. You can very easily escape campus.
Sure, we don’t have quads filled with bro’s playing games of ultimate Frisbee, but we do have the B-Line running THROUGH OUR CAMPUS.
BU is the GOAT in access to public transportation. You can get anywhere in the city from BU.
Hockey
Okay, so we didn’t win this year’s Beanpot. So what.
We have won 30 of them, including last year’s.
Also, one time, we scored 12 goals against BC in one game. That’s hilarious.
Also, our hockey team is like a factory for producing NHL players. Dozens of our alumni have gone on to be wildly successful in the NHL and even the Olympics.
Our student section and band are both absolute fire too. They kill it at every game.
Music
Allston, the neighborhood that sits at the edge of West Campus, does more for us than house our sweaty Allston basement parties.
It is a mecca of the underground music scene. Basement shows are wildly popular and also super hip.
You can walk down the streets of Allston and see people hanging out on their front porches absolutely killing the acoustic guitar game.
Also, Paradise Rock Club sits on our campus and lets students attend a wide variety of shows at wicked cheap prices.
And if no one good is playing at Paradise, the House of Blues is right down the street in Fenway and the Sinclair is a short Uber ride away.
The people
Let’s face it. We’re all really good looking.
Two Miss USA’s have come from BU.
One was even crowned Miss Universe.
We have our fair share of models here at BU, as well as bloggers and YouTubers alike.
Not to mention, most of our athletes are #baegoals as well.
I mean, just look some of us.
Even us regular, non-model people are super hot.
Housing
Some of our housing options are amazing. StuVi 1 and 2 both look like hotels.
Their views are amazing.
The view from the study lounge at the top of StuVi 2 is probably documented in 75% of all Terriers’ Instagrams.
There is arguably no better view of any city at any other college campus. Ever.
Also, some of our housing, like Myles and Danielson, is actually in the Back Bay.
This is one of the fanciest, wealthiest places to live in the city of Boston. The architecture is amazing.
I don’t know of any other college campus with such great housing locations.
Education
With an acceptance rate of 32%, BU is one of the most competitive Universities in the nation and in the world.
We were ranked 32nd on a list of the top global institutions.
That’s pretty damn impressive.
Our alumni have gone on to become successful actors, Pulitzer Prize winners, politicians, and CEO’s.
Oh and don’t forget, Martin Luther King Jr. is in fact a BU alum.
So, other colleges, I’ma let you finish, but BU is one of the best universities of all time.
And don’t you forget it.
