BREAKING: Four helicopters circling after hydrochloric acid leak outside of Myles
Police and firemen are on the scene
Students received an alert earlier regarding an investigation of hazardous material on Beacon St. near Mass. Ave.
We asked police on the scene about the incident but they won’t say what’s going on.
Intersections are all blocked off.
Police told The Tab residents in Myles won’t be allowed to leave for at least another two hours.
The Boston Fire Department believe the substance to be hydrochloric acid leaking from a bottle of a FedEx truck. They have reported the incident to be a Haz-Mat level three.
Their Haz Mat crews are now using a neutralizing agent in the back of the truck.
There have been no reported injuring but police urge everyone to avoid Bay State and Beacon St until further notice.
