We’ve been better about keeping ourselves out of the hospital for being too drunk

Due to the increase of alcohol safety education on campus and the swift enforcement of BU’s alcohol laws, the school saw the lowest numbers of alcohol related hospital trips in four years.

This past fall there were 75 students inhibited for severe drinking, down from 114 in the fall of 2014.

Since 2013, all incoming freshmen are required to take part in an online course called Alcohol Edu.

While many complain that the course is tedious and unnecessary, it teaches useful lessons in alcohol safety.

It’s paid off, and we might even see lower numbers next fall.
