So guess who has a more diverse campus?

Definitely not Boston College

Boston University’s ethnicity statistics were released by College Score Card. BU has a population made up of 47% white, 16% international, 13% Asian American, 9% Hispanic, 3% African American, less than 1% Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander and Native American, and 11% other or preferred not to say.

  1. 47% White
  2. 16% Non-resident alien
  3. 13% Asian
  4. 9% Hispanic
  5. 7% Unknown
  6. 4% Two or more races
  7. 3% Black
  8. <1% Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander
  9. <1% American Indian/Alaska Native

On the other hand, Boston College has a 58% white population and only 5% international.

So let’s go BU on having a more diverse campus.

The change in ethnic diversity at colleges in the United States.

On U.S. News and World Report, Boston University was given an ethnic diversity rating of 0.56.

While Boston College is rated at having ethnic diversity at  0.46, unfortunately MIT has us beat with an ethnic diversity at 0.70.
