David Cameron jokes about President Trump’s wiretaps in Brown speech

‘Just to be clear, that’s a joke’

Former British Prime Minister David Cameron joked about Donald Trump’s wiretaps at his Brown speech.

When asked about what he liked most about losing power, Cameron quipped: “I don’t have to listen any more to the wiretaps of Donald Trump’s conversations. Just to be clear, that’s a joke.”

Cameron spoke in front of 2000 students at the Ogden lecture, and teased Vladimir Putin about their relationship. Cameron said he declined invitations to hunt on horseback because compared to Putin, he doesn’t look as good topless.

He added at the of his speech: “I’m probably not the best one to tell you to get into politics, since my political career ended at 50.”
