VOTE: Who is the most dateable Brunonian?

It’s all for a good cause

Every year, for Valentine’s Day, Brown International Organization (BRIO) organizes a special kind of auction. This year, The Tab attended for the first time and loved it.

Want a yoga lesson, a homemade Italian meal or maybe a serenade for Valentine’s day?

A selection of volunteers, either by themselves or in groups, walked down a red carpet and showed off some moves. They walked up to the podium, and told the audience about the “date” they were offering.

Here’s what Brown had to offer.

Jose offered a home cooked meal while contemplating life in English and Spanish

David will treat you to a great meal and a good time

Alejandra will teach you how to salsa

Querube will treat you to some homemade cocktails and a great brunch

Federico will seduce you by playing the bagpipes

Gür and Antonia offered dinner with a side of Spanish and French conversation

Parmida, Isabela and Teresa want you to join them for a night of dancing, dining and cocktails

And the list of amazing dates goes on…

The “auctioneer” then launched the bidding, and the audience engaged in a competition to win their favorite V-day treat.

Which would you have chosen?

The best part is, all the proceeds went to the BRIO Impact Fellowship to fund a Brown student’s Social Impact project this summer. Donate to BRIO here and support these attractive internationals.

What’s not to like? You get a date AND get to support a great cause. So, stop by next year.
