We asked kids in Late Nite how many calories were in their drunk food

‘You want the chicken fingers looking fresh, so that’s why you need the chemicals’

Late Nite: place where BC students inevitably finish the night, reminiscing about all the stupid things they did that night, or complaining that they got too drunk for no reason because they didn’t get into the Mods.

Many drunk decisions are made throughout a typical night at BC, but the best drunk decision is always Late Nite, because let’s face it – we probably wouldn’t have gone if we were sober.

In honor of the tradition of Late Nite and the former shell of the studious, intelligent BC students that attend, we at The Tab decided to ask students a simple question regarding the amount of calories in Late Nite meals.

The savory chicken tenders that everyone’s favorite are 975 calories. Mozzarella sticks are 415 delicious calories. And, last but not least, the French fries ring in at a 233.

Surprisingly, some guesses were pretty damn close. Not surprisingly, we got some pretty hilariously outrageous responses.

Eric Lochner, Sophomore, Finance

“My chicken fingers have a trillion calories. OK, no, let me give a more serious answer. 500 calories.”

Cecilia Milano, Sophomore, Political Science

“I had chicken tenders, mozz sticks, and then another mozz stick…Too many calories, but drunk calories don’t count.”

Colby Burbank, Sophomore, Finance and Marketing

“There are 1,000 calories. It’s all the artificial ingredients to keep it fresh for a long time. Definitely artificial coloration to keep them looking fresh. You want the chicken fingers looking fresh, so that’s why you need the chemicals.”

Tim Kiernan, Sophomore, Communications

“Currently, I am eating French fries, mozzarella sticks, a banana, and Honestea. So like 400 calories? 500? I was just trying to get the right answer. Realistically, I think there’s like a million.”

Nick Bouris, Sophomore, Marketing

“All that grease? Definitely not ideal.”

Joe Oppenheim, Sophomore, Finance

“They’re greasy, so probably more calories than there should be.”

Shane Kelly, Freshman, Economics

“I think the mozz sticks are probably like 800 calories, but I can try to burn them all off in two days.”

Michael Strabone, Freshman, Finance

“I think my chicken fingers and French fries are 1000 calories.”

Kristen Nowak, 2018, Undecided

“I think chicken fingers are 950, mozzarella sticks are 600, and French fries are 400.”

Christy Abre, Sophomore, Economics and Communications

“I got the cereal because I knew that the chicken fingers are 950 calories because my roommates told me and that ruined it for me.”

Tucker Charette, Sophomore, Economics

“I think the chicken fingers are 650 calories. I’m aware they’re full of calories, but they’re so good.”

Andrew Kenkelen, Sophomore, Finance

“Oh, fucking tons.”

So close, guys.
