The Career Fair is the worst day of the year

Overzealous male CSOM freshmen huddled together in clumps, intimidating everyone

It was 86 degrees out, the best possible weather for a wool suit.

And Conte Forum was looking like the arena in The Hunger Games.

Hopeful juniors and seniors headed into the Career Fair to find internships and jobs, and overzealous male CSOM freshmen huddled together in clumps, intimidating everyone.

We asked fairgoers – why is the Career Fair so stressful?

Juan Santini, Senior, History major

“Every single one I’ve been to has been above 85 degrees.”

Kimmy Pace, Junior, Computer Science and Information Systems

“Outfit choice.”

Leila Melhem, Junior, Economics and Math

“Because I can’t go to Arc after.” #RIPArc

Jason Lam, Senior, Accounting

“You don’t go to get a job. You go just to get information.”

Brian DelGreco, Senior, Finance

“This in general…it’s not natural.”

Grace Francesconi, Junior, Communications

“Because summer internships don’t start until May and it’s the third week of school.”

Sean Alper, BC ’13

Apparently people do get jobs after they graduate

“At BC everyone’s high achievers but they freak out when they don’t have a plan for the future. All they should do is find a place where they’ll be happy.”

BCPD Officer Perez

“What’s everyone so stressed out about? You’re going to get a job.”
