Everything you feel after you just graduated

Has it hit you yet?

You know when you enter college and say to yourself, “graduation is so far away.” But when Senior year comes around and it is that last week of college, that last stretch, graduation is closer than ever before. Don’t ever graduate!

It has been exactly two weeks since I have graduated from the Wildcat Country and let me tell you, I  was both excited and scared for the real world.

It’s very difficult to get settled back into the home life, it’s almost as if someone knocked you off your groove. You no longer have the freedom to stay out or sleep in as late as you want to because, for the majority of those, we live with our parents.

However, there are some perks of being back home. There is never a worry about, “am I going to starve?” because the fridge is always Mommy packed for ya. There is your own comfy bed and you’re home at last. But the fun never lasts.
There is that constant battle with your parents who are telling you day after day to, “get a job” and to “clean up after yourself this isn’t a frat house.” We roll our eyes and think to ourselves that we need to get out of there because it was fun but now it’s just annoying. Bye bye Spot!

Don’t be discouraged. This time was made for all of us and we were taught all of these years to learn how to deal with it. To all of you fellow graduates, keep dreaming and keep working hard because life is right around the corner and it is totally worth it. Say cheers to college because the world is ready for you.
