Founded in 2009 by students in Cambridge, The Tab has become one of the world’s largest platforms for talented young student writers. Favoring originality over the dull, stuffy content from newspapers and TV networks, The Tab produces personable, authentic coverage of campus life reported by the students, for the students.

With teams at over 80 universities across the UK and America, it’s our turn. Following their expansion to the United States in the fall of 2015, The Tab has targeted some of the most distinguished universities in the country to adopt this new kind of news coverage. And today, it is with great enthusiasm that I say The Tab Arizona has arrived at the University of Arizona (and not Arizona State University — ahem).

Speaking as a Wildcat, I can’t think of a more suitable candidate for the job. The University of Arizona is home to a uniquely dynamic student body. And with great power, comes great responsibility. We have Wildcat enthusiasm. We have the stories and perspectives capable of delivering impeccable news. This is why our team of Arizona writers from an array of majors and backgrounds have come together to tap into this culture and bring out the best, honest, and enticing campus stories.

The Tab Arizona has already become part of hot campus discussion, with articles such as Francisco’s editorial over Brother Dean’s sermons and campus mockings.

We also hope to develop new engaging conversation with stories like Ashley’s editorial about your major, and why they don’t define you.

Of course, Tab writers bring candidness regardless of tone or topic. Light-hearted reads are a critical component to everyday student life — don’t think we don’t know about your Pinterest breaks. That’s why it would only be selfish of us to refrain from sharing the innovative designs from Victoria’s piece about turning your dorm room into the hall highlight, or Francisco’s ghost tour through our Wildcat halls.
