App State have gone 13-3 up against Tennessee and the internet is going mad

Are we currently witnessing the biggest shock of the CFB season in game week one?
It started when Cam Sutton fumbled a punt, giving the Mountaineers the ball in the Vols’ half. Taylor Lamb went on to score a touchdown with a five yard carry and the internet lost its collective mind.
It’s almost as big a shock as when Hawaii opened the season with an onside kick.
It also didn’t take long for Twitter users to point out that it’s nine years to the day since App State’s famous win against Michigan.
To be fair, Cory Brinson was a little more level-headed about the whole thing…
It then got better for Mountaineers fans as they scored a 33 yard touchdown after converting a 4 & 1. They did miss the subsequent field goal but the internet did not care.
