Alabama is hands down the best university in the entire world

Being top dog doesn’t always mean having the GPA of Harvard or the ocean view of UCSB. There are a specific set of characteristics that embody the best university.
So step aside Ivy Leagues, and say hello to the new contender for best school in the world: The University of Alabama.
Greek life

The Greek community at The University of Alabama is one of the biggest and most well known in the country. With a total of 61 Greek-letter organizations made up of over 10,000 members, odds are there is a house fit for you. 33% of UA students are Greek affiliated, so being in a fraternity or sorority definitely isn’t everything. But it does help make for an unforgettable college experience.
School spirit
Evidence of school spirit can be found literally anywhere on campus. “Roll tide” is an expression that’s not just exclusive to Alabama students and fans, but it’s a phrase that’s known across the nation and the world. Other universities have “spirit clubs” to help promote excitement among the student body, but this is absolutely unnecessary for us.
Good looks
Not to brag, but I would be lying if I said we weren’t good looking. Here, it’s not only acceptable for girls to wear XL t-shirts to class, but we look good while doing it. How great is that? Best of both worlds.
Football is a religion
Winning 16 national titles is one thing, but being in Bryant Denny watching history being made is a feeling like no other. There’s something about gathering together with thousands of fellow students all cheering for the same team that’s beyond exhilarating.
It can be an emotional rollercoaster when we’re tied up with minutes left in the 4th quarter. But the celebration after coming out on top is well worth the struggle. And let’s not talk about the rare times we do lose games – losing a football game results in one of two things: going home and mourning the loss for the remainder of the weekend and/or drowning our sorrows in alcohol.
Campus is beautiful
Campus is a little slice of heaven in itself. No car? No problem. You can walk from one side of campus to the other in just 15 minutes. Everything at Alabama is within close proximity, so convenience is never an issue. Rain or shine or snow, if you’re anywhere on campus, the view is bound to be scenic.
Southern food
From crawfish boils on Saturday afternoons to “Fried Fridays” hosted at the sorority houses, delicious food isn’t hard to find. And when it comes to traditional Alabama grub, nothing compares to the slow-cooked barbecue from local restaurants like Full Moon and Dreamland. Did I mention the Yellow Hammer? This magical drink concoction is the perfect combination of orange juice, liquor and pineapple juice.
So there you have it. The University of Alabama is the best in the nation. And if you’re still not fully convinced after reading this, then come visit to see for yourself. RTR.
