All the Love Island USA cast who have been removed from the show and the scandalous reasons why
There's been some truly shocking behaviour
It seems to be a sad reality that almost every season of Love Island USA will have at least one cast member for either breaking the rules or prior controversies resurfacing during their time on the show.
So, let’s have a look at all of the cast members who have been removed from the villa by producers over the years, and the scandalous reasons why.
Yulissa Escobar
Just days into the start of the newest season of Love Island, Yulissa Escobar was removed from the villa by producers after podcast clips that showed her using the N-word resurfaced online.
She released a statement on her Instagram following her removal, apologising for her use of the word.
She wrote: “First, I want to apologise for using a word I had no right in using. Podcast clips from years ago have recently resurfaced, and I want to address it directly.”
“In those clips, I used a word I never should’ve used, a racial slur. I used it ignorantly, not fully understanding the weight, history, or pain behind it.
“I wasn’t trying to be offensive or harmful, but I recognize now that intention doesn’t excuse impact. And the impact of that word is real. It’s tied to generations of trauma, and it is not mine to use.”
She added: “But that doesn’t take away from how wrong it was. The truth is, I didn’t know better then, but I do now. I’ve taken the time to reflect, to learn, and to grow from that moment.”
Cierra Ortega

Cierra was removed from the Love Island USA villa after a screenshot of her saying an ethnic slur resurfaced.
In a screenshot of Cierra’s Instagram story, posted to Reddit, she wrote: “Botox isn’t for everyone but I love it for me!!!
“I am incredibly expressive with my face and I catch myself frowning for no reason throughout the day when I’m focusing on something or thinking too hard lol.
“I can also be a little ch*nky when I laugh/smile so I love getting a mini brow lift to open up my eyes and get that snatched look. This is not me encouraging but moreso sharing.”
Leslie Golden

Leslie Golden was suddenly removed from season three of Love Island USA for breaking a serious villa rule.
She explained on her Instagram: “I would love to say it. I think it’s hilarious, it’s a really dumb reason,” she shared. “Again, very on-brand for me. However, what I did was a little illegal.”
It was later revealed that she was kicked out of the show for bringing a dab pen into the villa, which is illegal in Hawaii where filming was taking place, alongside being against the rules for the show.
Noah Purvis

Noah Purvis was very unexpectedly cut out of season two of Love Island USA after producers discovered he had previously appeared in adult films.
He told E! News: “They decided to pull me because they found out that I had been in pornography in the past.
“They said, ‘You’re going to be eliminated from Love Island. I was shocked. I was like, ‘What do you mean? I have only been here for three days. I have done everything I was supposed to… I am being myself. What am I doing wrong?'”
He explained that their issues were with the fact he didn’t tell them about his past, clarifying: “They said, ‘You are doing great. You just didn’t tell us something you had previously done. You went by another alias.
“And as soon as they said that, it clicked in my brain… that I had buried this thing that I had done, which is pornography.”
At the time CBS and ITV America had issued a joint statement about his removal from Love Island USA, stating: “It has been brought to our attention that cast member Noah Purvis provided false information on his application to Love Island, which violates his contestant agreement.
Tony Carabello

Tony was also removed from season three of show after he posted pictures of himself at the airport, and was replaced by Kamryn.
As for why he was removed from Love Island USA, he explained: “The way they went about it was very sus but basically they said a video was pertaining to show which doesn’t make sense bc whatever video it was it.”
He clarified that the video had been posted five weeks prior, just three weeks before the premiere of the new season.
