Omg, Jessi’s business empire was worth millions before Secret Lives of Mormon Wives
Some people are paying $1,500 per appointment
Jessi Ngatikaura is the oldest Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, and she might just be one of the richest, too. After training in hair over 10 years ago, Jessi now has a globally recognised business. Some people are reportedly paying thousands per appointment to get their hands on the highly sought-after ‘Utah curls’. The Mormon Wives star has been stacking cash in the beauty industry, well before her Hulu stardom!
Inside Mormon Wives Jessi’s hair business
Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jessi first trained in hair in 2012, and since then, she’s built a whole beauty empire.
During season two, her co-star, Mikayla, suggests she’s a “millionaire,” and Demi said of Jessi: “She sits on an empire of this hair business and does really well financially…”
The company’s Instagram page has over 150k followers.
People reportedly fly from all over the world for appointments, per The New York Post via The Wall Street Journal.
JZ Styles is a whole family affair with Jessi and her dad being co-owners. Her sisters Kiera and Bailey are also involved as Head of Operations, and her mom, ‘Mama Styles’ is Lead Educator.
The company is located in Pleasant Grove, Utah, and, these days, all kinds of services are being offered from hair extensions to spray tans.
It’s safe to say the business is currently a success as Pitch Book suggests it secured $1.87 million in debt financing. This is said to indicate ongoing growth and investment.
According to Kona Equity, Mormon Wives star Jessi’s hair company, JZ Styles, has an estimated annual revenue of $14.6 million.
How Jessi came up with JZ Styles as the name
It’s clear to see JZ Styles is, and continues to be, a huge success for Jessi and her family.
In true Secret Lives of Mormon Wives style, however, there’s a funky backstory to how the company’s name came about.
Jessi explained everything in an Instagram reel back in 2024. She said the name is actually a combination of her own initial, J, and her ex-husband’s, Z.
She also loved Harry Styles at the time, so she opted for ‘JZ Styles’ as her brand name.
After things seemingly took off, Jessi went on to open her first store with the same name.
Now, Jessi has a son named Jagger Zane. So, she said in her reel that she can give people “the short story” and say it was named after him.
