This is actually so wholesome
Connor from Love on the Spectrum has been obsessed with England and the British monarchy since he was first introduced on season one. Love on the Spectrum’s Connor reveals why he’s so obsessed with England
Connor has revealed that the reason he loves England so much is because his Dad is originally from there, as well as his Grandfather. And although he lives in the United Stats, the United Kingdom is simply an important part of his family background! He said in a Q&A on his brother’s YouTube video: “We have many relatives in England.”
Sometimes, he has a slight British twang to his accent, and now we all know where that comes from. So basically, he’s half-English and half-American. We see a lot of his mother on the show, but his father stays clear of being on Netflix. And this isn’t the first time Connor has been questioned about why he has a slight British accent.
His father came over to the US in the 1990s
Connor revealed on TikTok in January 2024: “He [his father] came over here from England in the 1990s, and, well, two Christmases ago, we went to England for Christmas vacation to see our family, and had a great time doing that. Picked up a few things along the way, but I’ve often used the accent many times, even when I didn’t intend to.”
He says it’s a “habit” and sees the accent as “quite charming”. Connor added, “Don’t get me wrong, men of America are quite charming themselves. But nobody can charm or, dare I say, shoot soccer goals as good as the British.” His siblings, two brothers and a sister, all have more of an American accent compared to Connor.
