Unlike the previous seasons, Beauty in Black season 3 doesn’t have a part 2, but on the brighter side, it has already been renewed for season 4. So, here’s what we know. In July, Netflix Tudum announced that Beauty in Black would return for another season, reversing the previous plan for season 3 to be the final season. Tyler Perry also confirmed that there was still loads more story to tell. He said, “Beauty in Black is back for season 4, and the Bellarie family’s story is far from finished. There was so much more I wanted to explore, and I’m grateful I get to keep telling this story.” He added, “To the audience that has been on this ride with us from day one, thank you for watching and sharing it with the world. More episodes are on the way!” What will happen in Beauty in Black season 4? View this post on Instagram A post shared by Netflix US (@netflix) The season 3 finale left Kimmie, Mallory and Rain caught up in a huge shootout at Make It Rain, with the fate of several characters left unclear. And then there’s Jules, who has gone from being the Bellaries’ fixer to one of their biggest threats. Jules spent much of season 3 convinced that Kimmie was responsible for his son Glen’s death, even though Rain was actually the one who pushed Glen while trying to protect Kimmie’s sister, Sylvie. Jules eventually killed Sylvie after learning the truth and then formed an alliance with Gina. So, heading into season 4, he could be one of the biggest problems facing the Bellaries. But Charles Malik Whitfield, who plays Jules, thinks there’s actually more going on with his character than simple revenge. He said, “I believe he’s found his purpose. But I don’t think the pulse of what that really is has been fully revealed yet.” That makes Jules’ season 4 storyline even more interesting, because it sounds like his plans could go way beyond getting revenge for Glen. Whitfield also explained, “I believe he wants the world to feel how he feels. I believe it’s deeper than just losing his son. I think he’s in pain.” Jules and Gina’s alliance was one of the biggest twists towards the end of season 3. “I think that his relationship with Gina is very important,” he said. “I think Gina’s a character who gets it. She understands, ‘This is what it is.’” But whether that partnership lasts is another question entirely. Whitfield also had a pretty blunt answer when discussing how alliances work in Beauty in Black: “Everybody’s important until they’re not.” He also used a rather striking comparison when talking about Jules and the message behind his actions. “Nobody believes in electricity until you turn the lights off,” he said. “Everybody wants the rain, but they don’t understand what the thunder will bring.” He added, “It’s not just personal. I think it serves many aspects. … Messages are being sent.” There’s also Kimmie and Mallory’s uneasy alliance to think about. The two women were forced to work together in Season 3, and after everything that happened in the finale, their partnership could be pushed even further. Netflix’s official announcement hasn’t revealed any major season 4 plot details yet, so we’ll have to wait to find out exactly where the story goes next. Netflix has since teased that season 4 is ‘coming soon’ Credit: Netflix Unfortunately, Netflix hasn’t announced when season 4 will premiere, and it also hasn’t given a specific release window. But there is a good chance that a new season could release in January or February 2027. That’s only a rumour, but the show does have an unusually quick production schedule. Season 3 was filmed in just six days, with Taylor Polidore Williams previously telling TV Line that it was the fastest production yet for the series. So, it’s possible the wait for season 4 could be shorter than expected. For all the latest film and TV updates and hot takes, like our Facebook page. Post navigation Next storyPrevious story
