Are Zendaya and Tom Holland pregnant? The truth about *that* viral ‘Spider-Man Jr’ rumour

If you’ve been on the internet lately, you have probably seen the various rumours about Zendaya and Tom Holland, and the latest one claims that the couple are pregnant and supposedly expecting their first child.

One post claiming the newlywed couple are having a baby has racked up around 2.6 million views, with the caption even declaring that “Spider-Man Jr. is officially on the way”.

So, are Zendaya and Tom Holland actually pregnant?

The latest rumour appears to have taken off on Twitter, where a post claimed that Zendaya and Tom are “reportedly expecting their first child together”.

The caption reads, “BREAKING: Tom Holland and Zendaya are reportedly expecting their first child together (Spider man jr). The newlywed couple are expecting a baby before the end of this year, with fans speculating that Zendaya may possibly give birth before this year ending or early next year with their first child.”

“Spider-Man Jr. is officially on the way. Fans are already going crazy over the news already.”

The only problem is that the post doesn’t provide a credible source for the alleged pregnancy. There’s no announcement from Zendaya or Tom, and there’s no statement from either of their representatives confirming that they’re expecting.

Instead, the post is built around AI-generated visuals. The video attached to the viral claim shows an AI version of Zendaya apparently holding a positive pregnancy test, while Tom is shown holding ultrasound pictures. It then cuts to a supposed house filled with Spider-Man-themed decorations and murals.

And then there’s another AI image showing Zendaya with what appears to be a pregnancy bump while showing off her ring, alongside Tom holding an ultrasound image.

It might look convincing at first glance, but these are completely fake.

Earlier this month, another photo went viral showing Zendaya supposedly with a bare baby bump while walking with Tom. The image looked real enough that people started analysing her body and asking whether she was pregnant. But the image was fake.

The original photograph was actually taken in London in 2023. And the version showing Zendaya with a bump had been digitally altered using AI.

Zendaya has dealt with pregnancy rumours before

Zendaya has also previously spoken out about people making things up about her online. Back in 2022, after another round of pregnancy speculation, she posted on Instagram Stories, “See now, this is why I stay off Twitter… Just making stuff up for no reason… weekly.”

Her mum, Claire Stoermer, has also previously pushed back against false claims about Zendaya having a baby. She made it clear that she wasn’t about to become a grandmother based on whatever people were posting online.

There hasn’t been a new statement from either Zendaya or her mum confirming the latest pregnancy rumour.

I think everyone needs to take a step back from all these constant pregnancy rumours.
