Imagine growing up thinking Batman is just your dad. That’s basically what’s happening in Robert Pattinson‘s house, after Suki Waterhouse revealed the couple’s young daughter has come up with the cutest nickname for him: “Daddy Batman.”

Given that Robert is currently filming The Batman Part II, it’s not exactly surprising that their daughter has made the connection. But according to Suki, she’s also completely unbothered by just how terrifying he can look while playing Gotham’s most famous vigilante.

Speaking about life behind the scenes on the And The Writer Is podcast, Suki recalled Robert FaceTiming the family while covered in fake blood with huge black circles painted around his eyes for filming. Instead of crying or being scared, their daughter apparently took one look and carried on as normal.

“She’s on Facetime with her dad, who today was covered in blood with huge black circles around his eyes […] She doesn’t really actually seem to notice. She calls him ‘Daddy Batman’ now cause he’s always…

It’s one of the few glimpses the famously private couple have shared about parenthood. Since welcoming their daughter in 2024, Robert and Suki have rarely spoken publicly about family life, preferring to keep their child away from the spotlight.

Away from superheroes, Suki also opened up about where she sees the family’s future. Although she, Robert and their daughter currently live in Beverly Hills, she admitted she doesn’t see California as their forever home.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the actress said: “I know I will return to London at some point and probably end up living somewhere near where I grew up.”

Suki, who was raised in Chiswick, explained that the move will have to wait while both of their careers are so busy.

“I’m aware that the season of life I’m in right now is fleeting. Like, you’ve got a young baby; you’re able to move around a lot. Both me and my partner have a lot going on in our lives,” she said.

She added that she’s already imagining what comes next, saying: “But I look towards the future, knowing this moment’s fleeting, and think I’ll go back and live by the River Thames.”
