With Shameik and Hailee, however, people were joking that Shameik’s feelings were unrequited. They posted compilations of Shameik complimenting her, claiming Hailee looked visibly uncomfortable. This escalated when Hailee announced her engagement to her long-term partner, and Shameik posted a cryptic tweet shortly after. “There’s still more people to meet. More opportunities to come. And more chances to try. Live, learn, apply,” he said on X. Shameik is begging fans to stop mentioning Hailee in his latest live But years later, Shameik is asking Spiderverse fans to stop bringing up Hailee in his comment sections. He called out the “weird” behaviour in a recent TikTok live. “To be honest, I think it’s a little weird that we continue to like you know… My co-star is doing amazing things, I don’t know why y’all are attaching me to accomplishments in her life in this kind of way. It’s just weird,” he said. @dramaticcmuch #ShameikMoore #HaileeSteinfeld #AcrossTheSpiderVerse #MilesMorales #GwenStacy ♬ original sound – dramaticcmuch The actor acknowledged the criticism of his behaviour around Hailee, but still called out these messages. “I know people are trying to call me weird, but it’s a little like.. you know, at what point is that not weird, to involve somebody that has nothing to do with her relationships and her life? And like, all of these posts, you’re just like tagging and tagging and tagging. That shit’s annoying to me, I can only imagine… really and truly.” He concluded: “I don’t know. Y’all do what you want.” The response to this scolding is mixed, but most commenters agreed that enough time has passed. “Y’all dragging this joke about him and it’s lame. Let this man have his career,” one person said. Another added: “He’s still done some weird things, but I’m glad he’s developing away from being a weirdo.” For all the latest film and TV updates and hot takes, like our Facebook page.
